A Day in the Life

Good morning friends! It’s hump day! I hope your week has been fabulous. No big news on our front and I am okay with that! Today I wanted to do a little Day In The Life post. I love reading these on blogs and I hope you do as well.

4:30- Rise and shine!

4:40- After my coffee is in hand and I let the fur babies out I set down for my morning Bible study/ quite time. This is one of my favorite parts of my day! I am doing an inductive study on Ruth.

5:25- I start making DC and Mason’s breakfast plus prep mine (I normally do not eat until a couple of hours later.

5:40- DC comes down to eat and have his quiet time. I run up to take a shower and start getting ready for the day.

6:00- DC and I talk for a bit then hug and kiss bye. I opened up my computer to start on school work but Mason had other plans.

6:10- I go get Mason, make the beds and all that jazz then we head downstairs for his breakfast. He is already asking to eat as soon as he wakes up.

wake up

7:00- We head back upstairs so I can finish gettingt ready for the day. Before that happens we play in his room.

7:40- I am ready and starving! I get Mason and head downstairs for my breakfast. He snacks on raisins. Plus I start typing up this post.

9:20- ready to go

9:40- We arrive at the mall, play, then head to H&M for Mason a couple of hats. He needs them for our upcoming trip! (Excited!) Then on to the grocery store and back home.

He was totally showing out!

Mason LOVES the little sinks! Also, yes that is a little urinal in the women’s bathroom. LOL

You are seeing correctly! The watermelons here are $29!!!! Needless to say we are not eating watermelon at the Parvin household.

11:20- We arrive home and I run in the door as by bag has a hole in it. Oranges are going everywhere, the dog in trying to get out the door, and I am trying to make sure Mason gets up the steps okay.

Mason lets me know right away he is ready for lunch so I start making his lunch and put the groceries up as he eats.

11:45- I go ahead and make my lunch for later but as I keep snacking decide I should just eat. Do ya’ll do that too?

12:10- I read and play with Mason. He lays his head on me and I ask him if he is ready for a nap. He goes to the stairs, so I take this as a yes.

12:25- Mason is napping and I start on a whirlwind of laundry, dishes, listening to podcasts and schoolwork.

3:05- Mason is up and ready to go!

3:15- He goes straight to the kitchen for a snack! This boys loves to eat!

He has started telling me thank you and it melts my heart! =)

3:50- DC messages me that he is on the way home so we stand watch (with his new hat).

4:00- Daddy is home. I always make a big deal out of it when he gets home. I think he knows but we’ve never talked about it. He also always kisses me first then Mason. We’ve never talked about that ever but we both just know why we do it. 😉 We play and talk about our day. I make them dinner before I leave.

5:00- I arrive at the gym for a new dance class I’ve been attending.

6:15- I am back home and starving. I have some chicken, Japanese sweet potato with ghee, fried okra (from the garden), and cucumbers (also from the garden). I have to share with Mason because he is a piglet. Then was share some mango “ice-cream”. I will share this recipe on the blog soon!

6:35- We play and play until Mason’s bedtime.

7:15- We lay Mason down for the night and I make a golden tea latte and read on the rash I am dealing with. It’s been going on since April off and on. Steroids help but I do not want to be steroids longterm. We’ve tried and tried to figure out what it is with no luck. I go for an allergy test in September. During my Dr. Google research I ran across a low carb rash. My rash looks just like this, so I am thinking maybe? Anyone have thoughts on this? Please share!

8:10- I turn the computer off and we watched TV before we head up to bed at 9. My Fitbit took that as my sleep time.

9:05- Lights out.

Question: Are you early to bed, early to rise? Do you have a morning routine? How much are watermelons where you live? Do you like group classes? If so what kind?

Have great day!

Excited about this mango ice cream! I am definitely an early riser, with the babes it is necessary, but I was even before. Hope you have a great day!

I love this kind of post! Wow – you wake up so early haha. I am usually up at 6:00 am and in bed by 10:00 pm!

And I can’t believe watermelon is that pricey!!

It is truly motivating. Like I might find myself doing high-knees while making lunch because I need 50 more steps. Have a great day!

I don’t have to use an alarm. I don’t know if that is a good or sad thing. =) Can’t wait to read it!

somehow i find day in the life posts endlessly entertaining, even though i can’t see myself doing one: it would be mostly me not wanting to get out of bed, hitting the snack bar at my office too much, and then lying on my floor upon coming back to my apartment. oops. and not sure if it’s a japanese (and/or korean) thing, but have you seen those expensive fruit videos? simon and martina (check them out on youtube if you haven’t heard of them!) have done a couple of videos where they buy $150 fruit and then compare it to the “cheap” (aka $15 which is crazy to me, considering how cheap produce can be in california) fruit.
