A Day In The Life
Hey Friends! I hope your week is getting off to a great start! We have a day full of errands and grocery shopping today. Before we start our day I wanted to hop on here for a Day In The Life post. I always enjoy reading these posts from others. It is fun to see how alike and different we all live our life. This was our day last Wednesday. Wednesdays are always a bit busy for us.
Before I get to the post I must stop to say how heartbroken I am to hear of the news in Las Vegas. Prayers for all the families affected during this time. Our country and our world are full of so much sadness. I feel so humbled and blessed to be here and able to share with you all today, not taken this for granted.
A Day In The Life
4:45– I look at the clock and know I best get out of bed. We go to chapel on Wednesday mornings, so I find it just to be easier to get up and ready before Mason wakes up. I jump in the shower and start getting ready, then take a coffee and devotional break.
5:30- I also start a breakfast casserole. It was my groups week to bring a breakfast dish and provide childcare.
6:00– Mason is up and ready for breakfast. Feed him, clean kitchen and all that jazz.
6:30 – I bring my blow dryer downstairs to finish getting ready because DC is on second shift and I try not to wake up.
7:00– After lots of breaks to read books and get Mason out of the dog food, I am ready for the day.
7:15– Fold clothes, ready books, play with Mason all while trying to keep him somewhat quiet.
8:15– Start getting Mason ready for the day and let him tell dada bye.
8:30– The HVAC people surprise us and showed up to look at our A/C. I had called twice but did not know or if they were coming. I hold Dixie and try to keep Mason away while DC attempts to talk to the men.
8:45– The men leave and we do too.
9:00– Made it to Chapel without a minute to spare.
Mason says to listen for the plane! Dude loves planes!
11:50– Chapel is over, I get our things and we head out. Mason had actually fallen asleep in his room and I pray he goes back down for a nap. I was in the room with 19 3-5-year-olds and boy I need him to nap! =)
On the way home I notice I still have the knifes in my pocket I took away for a little boy. He was a handful but it was fun.
12:05: We are home and set down for lunch. DC is back up and has to leave for work soon as we spend as much time with him as we can. He has had crazy work hours lately.
1:15– DC is gone for work and Mason is down for a nap so I start on school work, blogging, and follow-up with some Beautycounter clients.
3:30– I attempt a workout but Mason woke up and was not having it. We ended up reading and playing before heading out again.
4:50– We head to the post office before meeting dada for dinner.
5:30– We picked up DC and headed to the club. We are members and they offered one free monthly dinner. It was packed this month!
6:35– We drop DC back off to work and head to the store. Word on the street were that the pumpkins had arrived and we wanted to be dibs.
I saw this costume and really wanted it bad!
Mason was pumped about the pumpkins as well!
7:15– Get home pasted Mason’s nap. Get him a bath and do the nighttime routine.
7:55– Mason is out. I clean up the house and finish up some school work.
8:55– I am tired and decided to head upstairs early to read and lights out.
Question: What is your favorite age of kids to keep? Are you dressing up for Halloween? Have you gotten pumpkins yet?
