Chocolate Brownie Protein Bites

Hey guys! Happy Friday Eve to ya! Today I have a little recipe that I’ve been loving on repeat lately! It is sweet and full of protein and healthy fats! It is a yummy chocolate snack for ya! I love these little bites for an early morning snack with my coffee before breakfast or when my 3 p.m. sweet tooth hits.

Chocolate Brownie Protein Bites

Ingredients
Directions
  1. Soak the dates overnight in water. If you are looking for a quick trick you can place them in hot water for a few minutes or in the microwave for 20 seconds in water.
  2. Place dates, protein powder, and coconut oil in a small blender.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Spoon in and stir the cacao nibs.
  5. Divide into balls and store in the refrigerator.

Nutritional facts will vary based on the type of protein powder used. I used a high protein, low carb powder.

    These sound so good! What kind of protein powder do you use? I’ve never actually bought protein powder, mostly because there are so many options and I get overwhelmed trying to sort through them.

      I’ve been using Primal Kitchen Whey protein a lot lately. It is a good clean one. I also like
      IdealLean protein – Chocolate Coconut but it has sucralose so I do not use it as often.

    I love chocolate! The more the better 😉 Those protein bites look awesome!
    I definitely drink coffee before working out, it helps me get energized for my run.

    These look tasty! I almost always have a cup (or two) of coffee in the morning before working out. These would be a great little treat to go with it, and I am pretty sure I already have all the ingredients!

    I love how low calorie these are! Sometimes protein ball recipes are like 200 calories per ball it’s crazy!
