A Day In The Life- Halloween Edition

It’s Hump Day Friends! How has your week been? It has been a busy one over here with all the Halloween festivities. Yesterday was filled with playdates at the mall; where Mason kept hugging a poor little girl. It turned into more like tackling a few things. Then we were off for ice-cream, grocery shopping, and Mason’s first trip bowling. I can see us being regulars at the bowling alley now. He loved it. Today I am sharing a recap of our Monday in a Day In The Life– Halloween Edition post.

A Day In The Life

4:26 – I remember waking up and telling myself I need to get up but I don’t……

5:00 – DC’s alarm goes off and I think well crap I am behind already. I get Dixie out of the bed and go downstairs to let the fur babies outside. Next stop is coffee!

5:10 – The fur babies are in, fed, and coffee is in hand. So now it is time to start DC’s breakfast and figure out what me and Mason are having.

5:30 – DC’s breakfast is done and I sit down for my daily devotional.

6:00 – The hubs is off to work and Mason is starting to wake up.

6:15 – Mason is up. I open the door and he says “Hey Momma”. It seriously is the cutest thing! We head downstairs to have breakfast, play, call family, and clean up around the house a bit.

8:00 – I start getting us ready for the day. Mason has his 18 month check up and then a Halloween party right after. I really don’t want to deal with his lion costume for that long, so I get the idea to dress him up as a hunter. Great idea right?!

A Life In The Life

I love my little hunter!

8:30 – We are out the door to walk to the doctor. Luckily it is only a few blocks. I did not get around to doing my Facebook live on my group page, so I do it on the way. We had an awesome launch over the weekend and I really wanted to share the complete information. That is what you call multitasking right?

8:50 – All checked-in wanting to see the doctor.

A Day In the life

9:20 – We are out the door with a good report. We have a new doctor and he is not too chatty. I am not sure how I feel about it. I LOVED our last doctor but he moved.

9:35 – We arrived at the Halloween party and it is packed out! Mason is so excited and plays his little heart out.

11:30 – Mason is getting silly, so I know it is time to head out. We say our goodbyes and walk home.

11:45 – As soon as we arrived home I get lunch ready, we eat, and I lay Mason down for his nap.

12:15 – The nap time hustle begins. I get some chocolate treats for me baked and some almond berry muffins for Mason baked.

Then a little workout.…..

2:15 – Mason is up early so we play outside before it is time for us to leave again. I also get to read a couple of pages of my book.

4:00 – We get ready for our next Halloween activity of the day!

4:20 – We arrive to get the Halloween party started…

His first trick or treat!

a day in the life

Our little lion gets to eat pizza, which like never happens.

5:10 – We head home. I warm up dinner. We eat and while I am making us some hot chocolate with marshmallows I get to watch this……

The best view ever!

7:15 – After bath time, we lay Mason down. DC studies for a big test he has coming up and I work on homework.

8:20 – We turn off the electrics and attempt to watch TV but I am pretty sure I dozed off at some point.

9:05 – We are old and cannot hang….lights out

Question: Are you an earlier riser? What were your families costumes this year? Do you put marshmallows in your hot chocolate? Do you say hot chocolate or hot cocoa?

Mason is so cute – it sounds like 18 months is a fun age where they have such a personality. I am not an early early riser, though I have a feeling that will change when the baby comes!

It is a very fun age. I was an early riser before but now I really am. Littles do changes everything.

Looks like a fun day. Our hours are super similar, I usually get up about 4-430 and go to bed between 9-10. His costumes are so cute!

I can’t decide which costume I like better, the hunter or lion. Both are adorable! Sounds like you had quite the festive day. I’m definitely an early riser, 5:15 on weekdays and 6:30-7 on weekends. If I have marshmallows then I also put them in hot chocolate but I don’t always have them since I don’t use them frequently.

Luckily we had leftovers from s’mores awhile back. Yum!

His costumes are adorable! My sleep right now is bed around 9, up for about 2 hours in the middle of the night, and actually up for the day around 7. Pregnancy insomnia is fun. And yes to marshmallows in hot chocolate; they make it so much better.

awe….yuck! It is annoying when people say it is just getting you ready for the baby. It is true though. =)

What a fun day! He looks adorable in both costumes 🙂 I usually get up at five, I have such a better day when I have some time before the little guy is up. I can’t wait to take mine trick or treating next year!

I agree! It sounds made but I need to wake up in a relaxed state instead of meeting needs right away. I love to meet all his needs but the downtime just makes me calmer. Does that make sense?

The hunter is adorable! I love kids in overalls 😉
We get up at 5 am every single day! We are morning people and almost always go to sleep early.
I love hot cocoa with a passion…my favorite is made with milk with whipped cream on top!

I agree LOVE whipped cream. It hurts my stomach so bad so some reason.

Busy holiday filled day! Love that sweet shot of your baby and husband. I’m an early riser because of work, but my happy wake up time is probably around 6-7am. I prefer to say hot cocoa 🙂 Happy Wednesday!

I wonder where the two became different….. Happy Wednesday!
