Friday Faves- Happy Independence Day!
Hey Friends! Happy FriYAY! I hope you have a long weekend ahead of you as well. We are enjoying D having a few extra days off. We are headed to a camping site Saturday to spend the day with some friends. The forecast is calling for thunderstorms but we are trying to be optimistic about that. My heart is set on running around with Mason and eating s’mores around the campfire.
As per our usual here are some of my Friday Faves. I always love to hear yours as well!
You can see more from our hiking trip on yesterday’s post!
I am not a fan of the armbands for my phone. Mostly because my guns are lacking and it does not stay put. I also like to take my phone in and out a lot so it just does not work well for me. This FlipBelt on the other hand, is perfect. It stays put and has both slide in and a zippered space. It holds both my iPhone7 and keys without a problem. I do suggest a size up though. I am wearing a small FlipBelt in the picture. I was borderline on the size chart between an x-small and small. I could not have worn a smaller one though.
Speaking of the fitness faves. I first ordered these Bluetooth Headphones to send to D while he was away. He used his headphones a lot to run and FaceTime so I thought cordless ones would be perfect. Luckily we ended up receiving two due to a delayed shipment (the customer service was great). These were especially great when I upgraded to an IPhone7 that require Bluetooth Headphones. We’ve been using them since January and have nothing but good things to say about them. Plus they are much cheaper than other cordless headphones.
I love now that I am not working full-time we have more family time at night. It is so much less stressful. This night Mason wanted to read over and over so we did! I love our he loves to read!
Around the Web:
Cookout side dish idea….I like to take a healthy side to eat along with the protein at cookouts.
Love this post about parenting.
A twist on chicken tacos.
What are your thoughts on #fitmom? I know this post has gotten a lot of negative and positive reviews around the web. I first think that the way the author is feeling, is on herself. We cannot blame others for making us feel a certain way…..we are giving them that power and it is not their power to have. Secondly, I think the author is not shaming but saying not to find value is just being a #fitmom but in all aspects of motherhood. Lastly, I believe most importantly we should be loving and supporting all moms and women for that matter! Division is never good.
Question: Do you like s’mores? Do you like a fitness belt or armband? Thoughts on #fitmom?
