Happy Monday!

Happy Monday Y’all! Why do Mondays always get such a bad wrap? I kind of like them…minus the fact the weekend is over. I look at Mondays as a fresh start. This week the fresh start is going to mean getting back into a workout routine. While on vacation I workouts were not a top propriety, but we were very active. Then it has taken a week or two to get back into a routine with sleep and just being home. Plus I had that allergic test last week and was told I could not work out during those five days. Soooo…..this week is the week! Expect reports and whines of sore muscles by Wednesday! If not call me out!

This weekend was a fun and a great mix of relaxation and fun! Here is a recap.

Saturday

Saturday was off to a rough start! Mason slept in till around 7 and woke up a mess. During breakfast he was playing with his food, he was fussy, wanted to be held then did not know what he wanted. Then as we played I think he had at least three falls which all went to his head.

monday

Snacks finally made it all a little better.

I was wanting to head to a town nearby (nicknamed ‘little Tokyo’) to do some fall decor shopping. It was raining and Mason was not in the best spirits, so we opted to go to a mall just a couple of miles away instead.

monday

Translations are not always amazing…..

monday

Mason played (can you spot him?) and we failed to find any fall decor. I was kind of bummed but we went to a local Chinese restaurant to lift our spirits. Speaking of Chinese food….don’t confuse it with Japanese or Korean. They really do not like that. 😉

We started off with a small salad.

I went with the lunch special which was a tofu and ground pork set. The sets come with so much food, so I get that to share with Mason. DC selected an orange chicken stir-fry.

So yummy!

After lunch we went home for Mason’s nap then was up and back out to hunt for decorations on base. We failed again. I did get to walk around and hold this cutie’s hand though!

After dinner, I made this cookie mug cake and the boys loved it!

Mason was in denial it was all gone.

Sunday

Sunday was our normal day of church, nap, and back to church. Here are a few pictures of our day.

monday

Before church selfie. No, I am not pregnant or sick ( I don’t think). I had people texting me asking because my face looks swollen. Just a bad picture people……so worries =)

The best potlucks!

The rest of the afternoon was work for me and then back to church. Then home for an early night in bed reading t book.

Question: What was the highlight of your weekend? Do you decorate for every season? Favorite Asian food?

XOXO

    Love your church outfit!
And it’s super annoying when people assume that Chinese/Japanese/Korean food are all the same thing! I definitely get that!
My weekend highlights were wakesurfing and an 8 mile run! I don’t really do a lot of decorating but I’m starting to…mainly I just do Christmas 🙂 Favorite asian food is pad thai!

Thank you! It was super comfy since I knew I would be chasing a little after church. What? 8 miles? You are my hero! I wish I loved to run! The fall weather is perfect for it! Have a great week!

I love your bracelets in that picture. I am trying to get better about decorating for holidays and seasons. I will always make sure to put up a Christmas tree, and like lots of Halloween decorations, but tend to be a bit of a slacker otherwise. Hope you have a great day!
