Happy Monday and I didn’t burn the house down!

Hey, Friends! Happy Monday! I feel like we do not put the word happy in front of Monday enough. I hope you have a great week ahead of you. We have a few adventures this week if the weather agrees with us. It is rainy season here, so the weather can be amazingly beautiful or a mess!

Before we get the week started here is a little weekend wrap up for ya.

Saturday Morning was busy. I was blessed to be selected for a scholarship. They had a little gathering to present the scholarship to me. I got to meet just a few of the special women that volunteer their own time to make these types of scholarships possible. Super thankful for their hearts and for sharing their time with others.

wrap up

It was fun to chat and get to know the ladies. Time quickly went by before I knew it it was 11:30 and I needed to get home to feed my boys. We had a swim party to go to at 12:30.

Party time with a ton of kids! Unfortunately, the pool heater was out so the water was cold! We got in for a bit and played. The bouncy castle outside received much more playtime than the pool though. I failed to take pictures because we were just enjoying playing with our little man and friends.

Hey, look at the fish! This kept him entertained for like 10 minutes! Parent win!

After the party, we went home and grilled some pork chops, fresh corn, and I made some homemade oven-baked fries. Not a bad way to end the night!

Sunday we woke up to a rainy gloomy day. We were all feeling it with a lazy start to the morning. The laziness did not last long before it was time to get ready for church.

Bird watching before church.

Daddy’s buddy. #myheart

He was more into birds than selfie this morning….. #toddlerlife

We had a great service and then came home to play outside while the rain had pasted.

Boy loves to play in the dirt….

play weekend

and bubbles!

Soon the boys were all played out and went down for a nap. While Mason was napping I cleaned the refrigerator and pantry. Two things I cannot stand to be dirty!

nap snack

Snacky time! I love these cacao nibs!

Then I started researching more on magnesium supplements. I have been taking these plus these. I have had a decrease in a lot of the symptoms I was taking them for but I have been researching if I am taking them the best way.

I really enjoyed this article on magnesium supplements. It explains all the different kinds really well. Any advice for you guys?

Then I got redistricted and started shopping on Amazon and put these in my chart…..

I think I need them!

Speaking of distracted……..while we were at church that night I remembered I had left the tea boiling on the stove. We decided to leave out in the middle of church and I am so glad we did.

When you run out of church early because you all of a sudden remember you left the boiling tea on the stove on #justintime #houseofsmoke#alarmcheck #southerngirlfail #sorrypreacher

After that our night was pretty much just getting the smoke out of the house. Now I am finishing typing this up with a bit of a smoke headache. <—-insert crazy face!

Have a great week!

Question: Do you like rainy days? Have you left anything on the stove? Tassel earrings….should I?

Oh my gosh – that tea! Totally sounds like something I would do though. I’m glad everything was ok!
    Definitely yes on the earrings!

Yikes on the tea!! SO glad you thought of it. I also love cocoa nibs on top of yogurt and just about anything, really. They take it up a notch instantly 🙂

Congrats on your scholarship! I forgot about some eggs boiling once, as soon as the water had evaporated out they started popping and got egg everywhere.

Congratulations on your scholarship!! And your story about running out
Of church sounds like something I would do for sure. I do like rainy days! But not too many in a row or I go insane and I hate overcast days. Like, either rain or be sunny!!

This will be our 5th rainy season and I am hoping our next location does not have a raining season. I love the sunshine so much!

Your little boy is the cutest!! Love his blonde hair!
Congratulations on your scholarship, how cool is that!
I like rainy days sometimes, it’s nice to chill inside and watch movies. But if it’s 2-3 days straight of rain I start to get a little stir crazy haha.
I haven’t left anything on the stove yet (knock on wood) but once I baked a batch of cookies and forgot to add flour! (I wondered why the dough only made half the amount of cookies it should have….) It was AWFUL. All the “cookies” melted and the whole thing turned into a flat sheet of sugary chocolate. And the oven was a mess! Let’s just say I double-check all the ingredients now!

Thank you! He is a mess! =)

I agree….a rainy day here and there is fine but too many in a row really get me down.

O gosh! Cleaning the oven is the worst too!
