Hey Friends! How was your weekend? I feel like the weather here is teasing us. I need to stop saying this but I am just so ready for warm weather. It is spring one day and cold and rainy the next. I have been craving sunshine and the outdoors. I am looking forward to being outside with Mason this summer. It is already obvious he is the outdoorsy type like his momma and daddy.
It is a bit emotional this weekend being his last one as a ‘baby’.
Saturday morning started off a little rough. I woke up bright and early at 4:45…..I do not know why my body does not understand weekends. Before my coffee was even finished brewing Mason was up too. Luckily I was able to resettle him.
I started a little meal prepping and did the dishes, laundry and all that jazz. Then by 6 Mason was up and ready for the day.
He had some sweet potato pancakes with blueberries. The boy loves to eat!
We played and chatted with family until about 8 o’clock and he was ready for his first nap. The problem was he was fighting it. I rocked, walked, laid him down, let him fuss, bounced and all the tricks I could think of but after 5-6 times of trying to resettle him it was 9:15 and I gave up. We cuddled for awhile then headed to Costco.
On the way to Costco we hit closed roads and had to detour so the 20 minutes drive turned into more like 35 minutes, but hey Mason finally napped. We hustled the crowd at Costco and snacked on the samples we did not have to wait in a forever line for.
Mason fell asleep again on the way home and stayed asleep while I put groceries up and ate lunch. #winning
Once he was up and fed I figured we had better take advantage of the sunshine and head out to the cherry blossoms to take pictures. First, we stopped by the neighbors to play with there puppy.
Then we made our way to the cherry blossoms. They are so beautiful this time of year!
He sure is cute….and fast!
Once we were done we came in for our last nap, ate dinner, played, and he was out about 7:15.
We were up bright and early at 5:45. Mason was ready to go. Luckily after we ate, played and talked to the family he was down for a nap by 8:15.
This was perfect timing for a good nap before church and so I could actually get ready. By 9:45 he was up and ready to go again. So we dressed for church.
Isn’t he the cutest!?! I love little man outfits!
Pre-church snack! Grapes are so yummy!
Playing at church.
The rest of the day was filled with play, a good nap, talking to dada and more play.
I even got a little meal prepping in their but I failed to take pictures. I made a some taco meat for big taco salads, fried and boiled eggs, chicken curry and prepped veggies.
All in all it was a great weekend.
Question: Did you do anything fun this weekend? What is your favorite meal to prep?
