Thankful Thursday- Thoughtfulness

Hey Friends! Time for a quick Thankful Thursday post. Now that it is the month of November and Thanksgiving is around the corner, it is great to see everyone’s posts about what they are thankful for. It has me so inspired that I drafted three posts and then decided on this one. Today, I am sharing how thankful I am for thoughtfulness.

I have not talked about it much on this blog, but the last couple of years have been the happiness and some of the hardest in my life. I had never felt more happy, complete, and blessed. I have also never felt so scared and alone. Sounds crazy right? What has really helped and changed so much lately is seeing and experiencing so much thoughtfulness in the community.

It is the little things like receiving homemade treats from a neighbor, going to the grocery store and finding coupons left for you, a thoughtful text, someone giving up their seat on the bus, or a spouse taking care of housework without being asked. Thoughtfulness is huge in my book. Receiving these sweet blessings lately has also reminded me to be a thoughtful blessing to others.

Question: What is the last act of thoughtfulness you have received? How can you be more thoughtful to others?

One of the teachers from my kids’ preschool messaged me last night to let me know they would be working on the fire alarm system today, since she knows if freaks my son out. I thought it was so incredibly thoughtful and kind for her to give us a heads up so we could prepare him.

The last act of thoughtfulness was my boyfriend deciding that last night was “Treat Maureen Night”. Since he took his new job, I’ve been taking care of a lot more duties around the house so he wanted to show his appreciation by ordering takeout (no cooking or cleaning for me!), cuddling up on the couch and watching Stranger Things all night. Typically he does a little bit of work after dinner but not last night which I thought was very thoughtful of him since he knows that can bother me some days.

Love this! I met a very thoughtful child on the playground today. I was there with my one year old, and this 6 year old boy took a liking to him. He followed him around, picking up things he thought might be unsafe (rocks, a sharp piece of plastic) and helping him step around ant hills – it was so thoughtful and sweet 🙂

Love this post!! Neighborly kindness is so heart warming. Also, I love finding coupons by a product I plan on buying anyway. Karma!
