Trunk or Treat Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday Friends! I hope you all have a fascistic weekend! We took Mason to his first Trunk or Treat! This is actually new to me. I do not think I have ever been to a Trunk or Treat. It is not something we did growing up. My parents drove us to all our family members houses and a few friends. Plus we had fall festivals that were my favorite! It was a lot of fun though, minus him not being a fan of Godzilla. More on that later but by the end of the night when Godzilla was walking around without the face covering, Mason decided he was finally cool with him. Besides the Godzilla, the Trunk or Treat also had a chili and dessert contest. I very much enjoyed eating all the things! Here are some pictures from the Trunk or Treat and a little recap….

Truck or Treat

Saturday morning I asked Mason if he wanted to help me make the desserts. He was super excited and was the best little helper. I do not think he realized he could actually eat the food. Lucky momma! He put all the areas in the Ninja and then would push the start button for me and clap.

Then we made the pudding and added the whipped cream. He poured all the ingredients in there like a big boy. Christmas cookies are going to be fun!

He even started cleaning up on his own! He must see momma do this a lot! šŸ˜‰

Then that afternoon it was off to Trunk or Treat! This was Mason’s face when he saw Godzilla. He cried when we got really close to him. So we went back inside but he kept running back out pointing to Godzilla, then getting scared again.

Truck or Treat

The plane was his favorite, of course!

We never did trunk or treat growing up and I haven’t taken the kids to one. But I have volunteered at them before and that was fun. Your dessert is so cute!

These types of events just started popping up around here a few years ago. Much easier to navigate with the littler kids

Growing up in my small town K-8th grade school, Trunk Nite was one of my favorite childhood memories. Seeing all my friends and their families dressed up, celebrating, and passing candy out of their trunks. They even had contests for best decorated trunk, costumes, etc.

How cute that your son didn’t realize he can eat the oreos. It just seemed like another project to him. Great job, mama!

Poor Mason! I bet that was super scary for him šŸ™
But he did a great job helping out with the treats – what a great little helper!
