Weekend Recap/ Life in Pictures
Hey Friends! How is it going? Last week was a bit crazy. DC was been on mid-shift half the week and days half the week. It has us all messed up. Then Saturday he had an event he volunteered to help run on Saturday. So our weekend included a lot of at home time Saturday to catch daddy when we could. Sunday was also a low key day filled with church and celebrating one amazing daddy.
We are also have completed a full week of the 30 Day Reset. I think we both are starting to feel much better than we did the first couple of days. The lack of caffeine, sweets, and just carbs overall had been a tad tough.
Now as we start this week I am craving to have some routine back in our lives. I mean it has been months since I have had a somewhat predictable schedule. I am a person that thrives on routine, so it is starting to get tough. Okay, now that the whining is over….back to the post.
Today I wanted to share my last few random iPhone pictures from the last week. I love seeing other’s random photos in posts.
Mason on the floor at the grocery store:
So we have taught Mason he has to sit down to eat and drink. Well…..it was funny when in the middle of the grocery store he spots his cup in the diaper bag. He pointed said ‘dat’ and sat down. I had to laugh and give him his cup. He was being good. Kids are the best!
Please let me explain……the mascara.
So I had a few customers asking about our mascara and how long it last. So I took a picture first thing in after applying. Then the last two after workouts and a full day. It seriously lasts and does not smug.
While trying to get DC to take this picture with me I was informed we are not 25 anymore <—insert eye roll
Playtime at the mall
It was raining and I wanted to get Mason some active time out of the house. Luckily, we live five minutes from a mall that has two play areas for kids. This one is even free.
When groceries go on sale here in Japan it is a must to share with friends! They even had eggplant for 38 Yen which is about $.35. I had no idea what I was going to do with it but I bought it.
Mason looks 90% like his daddy! Their baby pictures are crazy similar! Lately, when he smile I see a bit of me in him. Of course, I had to post it to Facebook to get our families’ input. They agreed.
Father’s Day Lunch
After church, we went to DC’s favorite restaurant to celebrate his special day.
Now it is Sunday night and I am off to an early bedtime of 830 #momlife.
Hope you all have a great week!
Question: Are you ever too old to take silly pictures? How do you eat eggplant? Any fun Father’s Day celebrations?
