Weekend Wrap Up and I Need Travel Trips!

Hey Friends! Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start! This weekend has me actually energized and excited about the week! I have some personal, work, and grad school goals I am excited to tackle this week. #goals

What are your goals for the week?

lets do it

Here is a little recap of our weekend….

We started off Saturday morning with our little man sleeping in till 7! This is rare and exciting my friends! Minus a night or two here and there we are sleeping like a champ these days. The couple nights he has woke up have been due to teething. He has cut his first molar this past week.

Pancakes with plantations sautéed in ghee and peanut butter for the win!

After breakfast, we played and went for a short walk. I shared the fun videos of Mason getting excited seeing the planes take off on Instagram stories. After our little walk, I decided to hit the gym.

The gym seemed to be way packed for 9 am on a Saturday morning. These two dudes stood in front of the only two Smith machine forever looking in the mirror! They weren’t even using them! It was driving me crazy but I did not want to be rude and tell them to move. Thoughts? Is it rude to call them out?

After the gym, I headed back home to find the boys playing outside. I joined them and before we knew it it was lunch time for Mason then he crashed for a nap. During his nap, I whipped up this delicious lunch! During lunch we did some chores around the house, showered, and got ready for the day. Our neighbor’s boys were coming over to spend the afternoon with us and then we had a birthday party to go to.

my love

We were kinda supervising the kiddos. I just love this dude!

The birthday party spread was amazing! Home cooked pancit, pinoy spaghetti, potato salad, beef lumpia, and spring rolls. Then of course cake and ice cream! Our friends are from the Philippines plus her parents were visiting so all the amazing food! Yes, be jealous of my 4-year-old birthday party game! 😉

Mason had a blast!

He always loves his food too! While all the other moms and trying to get their kiddos to eat I am having to cut this one off! He can eat!

The party was after about 6:30 and by the time we walked back to our house these boys were tired. It was an early night for us all.

Mason slept in again! I was up at 5:30 finishing up a paper for school. The rest of our monring was our usual routine of early morning talking to our family. Then off to church.

We got out of church a bit later than usual, so we and our friends decided to grab lunch out together.

We went to a local Indian place. I tend to like Indian curry a bit more than Japanese because of the spice. Also, notice the raisins. =) We let Mason snack on them before we shared a salad, spinach chick curry, and naan bread. So yummy!

DC also had a nice spread. The chicken there is amazing!

After lunch we went straight home to lay Mason down. It was two hours past his regular nap time and we did not want to push the amazing lucky we were having in the attitude department.

We did exactly what parents are not suppose to do and woke Mason up from his nap at 3:40. He was a fussy boy so we hurried and dressed in for the pool. Hoping the pool would put him in a better mood and sure enough it worked.

He would kick and even put his face in the water. Such a big boy!

Then when I saw these pictures I had to do a side by side of this year and last year at the pool. Mason and I were both in the same swimsuits and at the same pool.

My momma heart cannot take it! The one on the left in August 2016 and the right is July 2017. Time slow down!

After swim time, we headed home and were all quickly out for the night.

Now for Travel Help!

Any advice on traveling with littles? Like 15+ hours in an airplane traveling with a 1 year old? Pros and cons of taking a carseat on the plane? We are planning to travel at night for sure. We do not currently allow Mason to play with phones or the iPad but we plan to pull them all out for the plane if need be. Any tips and tricks would be amazing! I flew 18 hrs alone with him round trip when he was 5 months old. We were exhausted but it went pretty good. Now that he is walking running everywhere I know it is a whole new ballgame.

Also if you are an Amazon Prime Member do not forget Prime Day! My chart is full of sale hopefuls!

Have a blessed weekend friends!

What a fun weekend! So my husband just informed be that he has been stalking amazon for 5 days trying to get all the things he wants and enter the giveaways. He is dedicated!!
I don’t have any children yet, and definitely do not envy that long of a plane ride – I can’t even imagine how tough it is going to be with a baby! Lots of toys, snacks (individually packaged), clothing changes…sorry I can’t be more help!
