Weekend Wrap-Up and Typhoon Ready

Happy Monday Friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We have been pretty low-key due to the weather it. Right now the “Strongest Storm On Earth” is headed our way. We are actually on lockdown from Sunday night to Monday night due to the storm. I think we will just mostly going to get lots of rain and a bit of wind. While we might go a bit stir crazy I am looking forward to family time and getting caught up on work and school. I had an overwhelmingly blessed weekend full of orders and inquiries on the work front, so I am excited to have a day to properly get back to everyone. Here is a little low-key weekend wrap up as we prepare for the typhoon.

Saturday morning I got out to head to the gym while the boys had son father-son time. Honestly, I struggled with this so much for a while. I felt guilty leaving out for ‘me’ time. Now I am starting to look forward to it and relax a bit. I get alone time with both of them and they also need one on one time.

When I got back we headed out to run some errands and quickly returned home for Mason’s nap. It was an awesome 3+ hour nap. I think we are growing through a growth spurt over here. I swear he is looking a month older every day! How does that happen?

Saturday night we have dinner plans to go out with a couple that is moving in a few short months.

His fake smile was totally cracking me up!

You might have seen this on my Instagram. He was signing ‘eat’ and saying ‘go’. #notinapicturemood

After dinner, I was supposed to head over to a jewelry party. Dinner lasted longer than expected though and I didn’t make it. I am honestly terrible at some of the social things in life. I am outgoing and shy all at the same time. He is raising money for her adoption, so I made a purchase online. Jewelry to support a good right?!

I slept in till 5:30! I know this doesn’t sound like much but this is HUGE y’all! I am normally up between 4:30-5 every morning. Another awesome thing is Mason slept in till after 7 two mornings in a row! I had quiet time, cooked, cleaned, and still had extra time. It was so weird.

I had this yummy mug cake topped with cookie dough nut butter. I have tried it two ways now and I think it is blog ready

After breakfast, we swum headed out to church. He is getting so big and I might finally break down and get his hair cut. Gosh, he is going to look so grown!

weekend wrap up

We can home to a very wet backyard and hope it doesn’t get too high overnight. The rest of the day was spent at home, staying dry, and watching the weather. Our internet has been in and out so I am going to take full advantage, go to bed early, and caught up on a book I am reading.

Question: What was your highlight of the weekend?

That sweater vest combo is adorable! What a cutie!
Hope y’all are staying dry today…fingers crossed!
I’m terrible about social events too – I’m such a homebody and prefer to just stay home!
