What Up Wednesday

Hey, Friends! I am coming at ya with a What Up Wednesday today. I have a lot of fun random things to share with you. First, I must confess I woke up in a mood this morning. Lulu was meowing nonstop starting at 425 on a morning I had planned to sleep in a bit. My phone screen was not working. It was totally black but I was getting notifications of messages. Then Mason started fussing in the crib at 530.

My morning just was not as I had planned. I was going to get up and hit the gym (I did not want to leave without my phone working) and come back spend the day with my boys since DC had the day off. Instead, I am missing out on my morning devotional (that is on my phone), not going to the gym, and not relaxing because Mason was up fussing. Plus I do not want to spend a bunch of money to repair my phone.

I had to quickly take a breather and get over myself. As the morning wrapped up, Mason ended up sleeping till 720 and at 10 we went to the cell phone place. They did a hard restart on my phone and we are all good to go.

Do you ever get frustrated for no real reason and have to step back and take count?

Anyway….back to the post for today.

1. What I am Digging: Bloom Daily Planners

The calendar I ordered came in and I love it even more in person. It is so cute and fun! There is just something about writing it all out and seeing it. I feel so unorganized having my events stored on my phone.

Here are some inside pictures of the planner:

2. What I am Dreading: Grad School

grad school

I feel like school is never ending! Don’t get me wrong, I do love school! I just feel like a lifetime student. Plus why is it so freaken expensive?! I think I can…. Okay, I am just whining now….sorry

3. What am I Excited About: Sea Salt Spray

What Up Wednesday

Guys this spray is a game changer! It is not crunchy at all but it holds! With it being rainy summer and humidity so high this stuff is amazing! I just barely use a curling wand then spray.

4. What Have We Been Eating: Grocery Store Samples

My kid! Mason has now learned all about the grocery store samples. When we go to Costco’s he points at them and signs to eat “more”. This was at a local store and the lady offered him noodles with spaghetti sauce. He went crazy wanting it so as you see I caved. What he does not understand is it is just a sample and then no more. I see a meltdown in our near future.

Okay we’ve been eating more than grocery store samples.

what up Wednesday

I made these homemade paleo nachos with paleo nacho cheese. Mason LOVED the cheese and kept signing for ‘more’. As you see above we get a lot of that sign when it comes to food. Boy loves to eat!

5. What Have I Been Reading: Humble Roots

What Up Wednesday

I am continually reading two books. One seems to be a flop but I do not want to share it until I get a bit more into it. This one Humble Roots is so good! I see it being read within a week.

6. What I am Doing This Weekend: Enjoying Camping with Friends

Okay, I am still on the fence if we are really going to stay the night but we are going to eat and have s’mores for sure! I LOVE hosting and going to cookouts. It is seriously the best! We do not get to as often as we would like so I am pumped to enjoy some quality friend time together.

7. What am I Listening to: Podcast

I love listening to podcast! I often listen to podcast when we go for walks. I listen to them when I cook and clean. It feels like a great way to learn and zone out.

A couple of my favorites lately have been the Risen Motherhood podcast.

7. What am I Looking Forward To? My Birthday and Vacation!

I turn the BIG 3-0 next month! Whoooo! I am actually excited about my 30s. I feel like the 20s were great but always looking forward to learning and growing as a person. Plus we plan on taking a little vacation getaway. I am ready to get away from the concert jungle a bit.

Okay!  That’s What’s Up Wednesday today!

That wraps up What’s Up Wednesday!  Now bring on the long weekend!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Questions: Are you a camping person? Do you get all the samples at the grocery stores? Favorite cookout foods?

Sorry you had a rough start to the day. Unexpected heavy traffic always puts me in a bit of a mood and I have to remind myself that it’s not that big of a deal and probably not as much time as it seems in my head. Costco is the best with babies! I love taking the kids to walk around and try things out there.

Costcos is Japan is crazy! The crowds are like WOW! I need to post about the traffic and busy stores here. You have to fight for those samples =) It is fun to watch the kids try new things?

I was just hunting for a new spray! And I feel like whenever you PLAN a relaxing morning it’s like something is bound to ruin it. I’ve had to check myself a few times for sure! Hopefully the rest of your week goes better 🙂

Sprays are a must with this humidity! I am passionate about using the least about of chemicals in products so it’s a win win! Planning is what I should just never do. =) Hope you have a great week my dear!

I am going to try that sea salt spray! It looks right up my alley 🙂
I definitely hit up any and all grocery store samples, Costco is my JAM! Especially when they have the artisan bread with butter, yummmm.
I do not think of myself as a camping person but I recently camped in the Minnesota wilderness for 3 nights…it was the definition of roughing it and it’s going to take a LOT of convincing to get me to do it again. I wrote a couple blog posts on the trip last week 🙂

Try it! I love it! I use a wand in about 4-5 sections, spray, and I am good for two days.
Butter makes it all more better! =)

OMG grad school, I feel your pain, okay I should say I remember your pain. My friend and I used to sit in the car and scream before those early classes, I know it sounds weird but it really helped relieve stress. It will be over before you know it though!

It does not sound weird it sounds like real life!

This post is so great at reminding us of all the continual exciting things that are in our lives. Even the smallest of new things can make a huge difference in my mood. I would LOVE to have a camping trip planned. I’m dying to get out and sit by a fire and sleep in the fresh air. Not sure if I’ll get my chance this summer, unfortunately, so I may have to live vicariously through you. I do think I need to up my grocery sample game though… Mason knows what’s up.

Also thank you for the planner and podcast reviews. I’m always looking for both!
