WIAW 30 Day Reset Edition

Hey Friends! I hope your week is going great! DC and little man just laid down for a nap so I wanted to jump on here and share a WIAW with ya. DC is on mid-swift the first part of this week so he is all messed up. Since we started our 30 days reset our meals have not changed too much. I am drastically lowing my carbs. This pretty much left me feeling like poo Monday and Tuesday. Today it is much better. I am hoping this 30 day reset really helps with some of the symptoms I’ve been having.

So today I am going to share with you a WIAW…..

30 Day Reset:
Breakfast

Even though some say caffeine is a ‘no go’, I am down to one cup a day. I mean a girl has to fuction! I added almond milk, a teaspoon of coconut oil, and collagen. Then I blended it with my Ninja and it was amazing!

While I drank my coffee I unloaded the dishwasher and started getting Mason’s breakfast together. At 5:45 Mason was up and ready. I was glad his breakfast was already put together.

Then while Mason was playing I made myself and DC breakfast.

On the menu was two over-easy eggs, half an avocado, sautéed kale, and kimchi. I am going to cut down on the fermented foods as well but I did not want to throw good kimchi out so I finished it off.

After I ate DC arrived home from work and we all played until both the boys were down for a nap. Then I started cleaning and working on school work.

Snack

I grabbed a handful of almonds to power through.

After Mason woke up we went to the grocery store and post office arriving back just in time for lunch.

Lunch was leftovers from grilling the night before. I loved grilled salmon and zucchini! We were classy and ate on the floor. Mason was starving and I had all my homework on the table so we had a kitchen picnic 😉 I also had a coconut oil vanilla drop from Wired to Eat.

The afternoon was full of outside play and a long walk. I honestly do not feel like a good workout with the lower carb intake.

Radiography

Then during nap time, I worked on my CE credits for my radiography license. I am a bit behind on them and my license is up for renewal next month. While powering through anatomy, radiation exposures, and autoimmune disease I sipped on a mug of Dandy Blend with almond milk. It is a great coffee replacement. It is caffeine free and has no acidity or bitterness.

Dinner

Dinner was a curry recipe from Fed & Fit. Sorry for the leftovers picture. Mason was hangry at dinner time so I before to take a picture. This is what I put back for my lunch on Thursday.

All in all, I really felt full all day. I did want some sugar or carbs (Japanese Sweet Potato) but it wasn’t too bad. I will say I did have a headache in the a.m. I also just did not have a ton of energy throughout the day. My husband even asked what was wrong or if I was tired before he remembered.

From studying I hope to start having more energy by the end of the week. I really want to workout but I am taking it easy and listening to my body.

Now I am off to finish up some housework before the boys wake up.

    This girl LOVES her carbs, but I try to do the whole ‘nutrient timing’ thing without actually counting. On high activity/heavy lifting days I bump my carb intake up and maybe lower it a bit when I’m just going on a walk or resting. My favorite healthy carb is the sweet potato or oats!

      I love sweet potatoes as well! I pump up my carbs for cardio but increase protein for lifting. When normally but tracking I seem to like about 30% of my diet in carbs. It is interesting. I have been reading a lot about individual nutrition lately and how our genes determine the amount of carbs we tolerate. Like here in Japan it is ALLL about the carbs!

    That grilled zucchini looks so good!! I really enjoyed this post and think that it’s super interesting how different amounts of macros are so individual. God really did create us unique in every area 🙂

    I’m like you on a low carb diet. I tried it for 2 weeks once, but I never felt “right.”
    That salmon you had a lunch look great though! I love anything grilled.
