WIAW- Fall Edition

Hey Friends! Happy Hump Day to ya! This week is sailing right along. We had a slower start on Monday and Tuesday but have a packed schedule the rest of the week. The weather has been in the 80s. My heart has been torn between loving the beautiful warm walks and the desire to throw on a scarf and booties. Since we were at the house most of the day yesterday I actually remembered to take pictures off all my eats! Blogger win! So today I am going to be sharing a WIAW post fall edition style!

Right?

Breakfast

I must start off the day with coffee! I also like to add a piece of a Quest Bar, dark chocolate, or these frozen treats. This particular morning I added coconut oil and collagen to my coffee as well. This is breakfast number uno.

Breakfast 2.0 a couple of hours later was a protein mug cake I’ve been loving with chocolate hazelnut butter! It was everything!

Snack

Then at 1030, I snacked on a rice cake topped with nuts n more chocolate spread. I wasn’t that hungry but we were going to story time at the library and story time plus hangry momma would not be good! Sometimes we just have to be honest with ourselves.

Lunch

was

Lunch was leftover chicken drumettes cooked with artichokes and spinach, frozen veggies, and also a sweet potato under there. It was delicious!

Snack

Coffee and one of these coconut butter cups. It was my first time having them and I was a bit disappointed. They have a grainy texture I found weird.

I was still a little hungry so I had a sample of the soup that would be dinner.

Dinner

WIAW

Dinner was chicken pot pie soup. I was making a pot pie casserole for a friend and just saved us a little bit of the ingredients for dinner. It was yummy.

Then this was an amazing dessert after Mason went to bed because lets me honest…..momma didn’t want to share.

I had a few more snacks than normal but my meals were on the smaller side as well. I’ve really tried to eat better meals but it just doesn’t work for me so I gave up. Back in the day, we were always told to eat small meals throughout the day and now it’s all about three big meals and fasting in-between. I think it’s all about individuality but that is my amateur opinion.

    Chicken pot pie soup sounds delicious!! I’m so ready for fall weather so I can make soups for dinner but I can’t bring myself to when it’s high 70s/low 80s outside. I don’t drink coffee but I love having tea in the morning. I try not to snack unless I’m actually hungry and some days are better than others.

    Your lunch looks so delicious! I totally agree, nutrition advice seems to change every few years and I think it’s best to just pay attention to what feels good in your own body. I definitely have coffee first thing, without fail 🙂

    All of this food looks SO good. I still haven’t gotten my hands on Eating Evolved coconut butter cups but I’ve been dying to try them – do you get them at Whole Foods?

    I love coffee but since my GERD diagnosis, I really appreciate my hot cup of tea every morning. That pumpkin pudding looks tasty. I LOVE snacking but sometimes wish I was more of a 2-3 meals/day person. Boom chicka pop is my weakness!
